affordable recording, mixing, mastering and producing at the best value possible!

AFFORDABLE RECORDING, MIXING, AND   MASTERING with State of the Art Analog and Digital technology to achieve the sound you want!  This is a 96 kHz, 32 bit recording studio - best quality on earth.

Most reputable recording studios, like some of my friends, charge $50 an hour, $35 for mixing, and $45 for mastering your work.  Call me and I'll tell you the value I give to your work that has a fair price for all those combined, plus I play keyboards, bass guitar, lead and rhythm guitar, and I'm a lead singer, and songwriter, so whatever needs help with your music, I can do it.  Your voice will be on key when you get to your car.  We might use an effect here or there to enhance the interest in the song.  It might lack bass guitar and I can record it on the fly.  Maybe another synth on your beat...  I'm a producer with 30 years experience.  Now that type of value you cannot get anywhere for the fair hourly price I accept.  Most musicians that come into a recording to do a part charge $100 to $150 for doing their part.  I do the same right there for you for the regular hourly charge.

This is Tad's work on Rap's own Seago's CD.  All artwork is done by scratch and is tailored around the artist's image and music.  The Logo, reporters, the Italian background, Seago's suit, the Title... The songs were produced by Tad with Seago's help. A lot of this is magic that cannot be reproduced again...

Here are songs by Seago and the Christian alternative rock band, Soultide produced here....

How is the quality of the sound?

RAP, R&B, GOSPEL, ROCK, COUNTRY, METAL,  AND African Pop Dance with lyrics in French! This is Africa's new rising pop star, MATY and her producer, Armand.

CD REPLICATION rates are the best value for the buck.  Instead of paying $1880 at Discmasters, you can get the same top quality printing and CD manufacturing product for only $1493.00 per 1000 CD's through us at 4 panel brilliant  color front and inside panels, black and white in middle two panels.  3 spot color on jewel case and CD.

Companies sacrifice CD quality for lower prices. Flimsy, weak CD's means lower prices.  I wouldn't go any lower than my company.  You get what you pay for.

Tad Donley : How to Set Up a Recording Studio

This thing done for expert village was for those who wanted to make a recording studio at a very low budget.  There were a bunch of elitist jerks who slammed me for this, and they bragged that they were hot stuff.  It was insecure and petty crap.  We got a lot of little men running around in Houston.  Over 125,000 people saw my videos.  Many agreed.  You be the judge.  What I said was not the end alls of end alls, but I did what I said I would and showed some people starting out how to save money. Shame on those little boys...

PROFESSIONALLY PRODUCED MUSIC VIDEOS!

I just finished producing a rock video done downtown with effects. The DVD turned out great! Two songs are getting edited and produced to perfection and the whole process
- HDV recording the scenes for two videos in one full day (12 hours), transforming raw HD to Cineform Avi, adding and editing the scenes, remixing the audio, rendering to DAR and finally burning the DVD's took approximately 36 hours.

All rooms are separate. We have a 4-tom Tama Rockstar set with Pro Remo heads, cobra double kick with nylon instead of chains.  Brand new Ziljian Armand Series hi hats, crash and ride.  Sabians in the background.  A single kick for those who prefer... Audix D2 to D6 mics, with 57's and a good kick mic.  Two condensers for overheads.  All set up, so you just walk in and sit right down... bring you snare if you want.

Most of his clients rely on my creativity and ability to make the songs better. - many recording engineers are not experts at singing and pitch, so you can end up playing Russian roulette with your recording.  Tad will point out the mistakes and send you back recording until you get a great take guaranteed!  He has Antares Auto-Tune just in case.

Why I chose my equipment

I've used Pro Tools for seven years. With Pro Tools, you have to use Neve and/or SSL to help warm it-which cost a fortune. Those who chose this direction are expecting you to help pay for the loan. Then you have to fight to get more out of Pro Tool's still digital, flat sound and limited  headroom. All these guys spend their last dollar and loan money on expensive, proprietory Pro Tools only to experience a product that's ok.  Not the best, but ok.  The next tier up above what most have, the HD series and the alright Control 24 with lousy pre amps, is a lot of money.  People have to get used Pro Tools equipment off of Ebay and the least they spend is $20,000 just to barely start off.

I Went with Nuendo.  I was offered a teaching position at Port Arthur College, and their curriculum consisted of Pro Tools and Nuendo.  So don't tell me Pro Tools is the Industry Standard, because it is not.  And if you keep on saying that you're going to turn into a Stepford Wife.  I utilize the best monitors most other more expensive studios do not have, the Neumann U-87 vocal mic.  Capitol Records uses this mic.

The $2000 each big Genelec Model 1031A Monitors are the best! They are perfectly flat. No surprises when you get out to the car. The Advents ($600) leave you with more midrange. Your vocals will be louder when you get to your car!  The JBL's($600) with their big bass speaker leaves you with less bass when you walk out of that studio, the Mackies ($900) are the next best thing but still does not come close to the big Genelec bad boys!

Call me (Tad Donley) at 832-858-2096 and come out to the studio, hear some our work. You decide! Free drum setup time!
